Kraal Code exists because we saw organisations outgrowing spreadsheets and accounting tools but unable to justify the cost, complexity, and cultural mismatch of imported ERP systems. Design principles
Usability is not optional
If someone needs a manual to do their job, we have failed. Every interface must teach itself. The 85% unassisted task success rate is not a target — it is a minimum.
Security enables, not restricts
Good security makes remote work, delegation, and cloud access possible. It does not make the system harder to use. Controls must be invisible until they are needed.
Local context matters
Uganda is not Kenya is not Tanzania. Tax rules, payroll statutory requirements, currency, and business practices differ. Localisation must be configuration, not code.
