Built by people who understand the problem
Kraal Code is a product of Chwezi Core Systems — built by a team that understands African operating realities because we live and work here.
Our purpose
We believe that African organisations deserve enterprise-grade software that understands their reality — not systems designed for another market and forced to adapt.
Kraal Code exists because we saw organisations outgrowing spreadsheets and accounting tools but unable to justify the cost, complexity, and cultural mismatch of imported ERP systems.
Our design philosophy is simple: build for the person who will use the system every day. The warehouse supervisor checking stock on a tablet. The finance manager closing the month. The CEO checking cash flow from a phone while travelling. The field officer recording attendance.
Design principles
Usability is not optional
If someone needs a manual to do their job, we have failed. Every interface must teach itself. The 85% unassisted task success rate is not a target — it is a minimum.
Security enables, not restricts
Good security makes remote work, delegation, and cloud access possible. It does not make the system harder to use. Controls must be invisible until they are needed.
Local context matters
Uganda is not Kenya is not Tanzania. Tax rules, payroll statutory requirements, currency, and business practices differ. Localisation must be configuration, not code.
Honest about what exists
We do not promise features that are not built. We do not claim certifications we do not have. If something is on the roadmap, we say so. If it is not right for you, we say that too.
